Inspiration

Asheen’s aesthetic vision is a choreography of contrasts, a tribute to the visceral, untamed elegance of the Icelandic landscape. Through the artisanal use of gypsum, I evoke the ash of volcanic basalt: a matte, stone-like anchor, silence distilled into a mineral mass.

Yet, dancing upon these mineral pools, a luminous veil of hand-poured resin captures the sheen within. This translucent medium acts as a vessel for radiance, echoing the refractive purity of glacial cathedrals and the liquid shimmer of the Auroras. By marrying the rugged grit of volcanic ash with the radiant clarity of fine resins, Asheen freezes a moment of motion—the glisten of tide-washed sands and the rhythmic pulse of the elements—to breathe a soul into a house.
