Behind every piece is a singular, hands-on journey. My practice is shaped by twenty years spent wandering the Icelandic wilderness. I translate the resonance of these landscapes into tactile forms, hand - pouring pigmented gypsum and resin sprinkled with volcanic ash and sand to create a one-of-a-kind reflection of a specific moment in time.
I believe that nature communicates through the visceral language of texture, and I seek to capture that dialogue: the grit of volcanic plains meeting the silk of Nordic light. By marrying technical precision with gravity-fed pouring, I create objects that bridge ancient origins with contemporary form. Each creation explores the liminal tension between heavy and light, matte and reflective—transforming raw elements into a unique synthesis of Ash and Sheen.
I seek to bridge the gap between the untamed beauty of the unknown and the sanctuary of the home. By translating the silence and the glow of the North, I distill elemental materials into objects that act as anchors for contemplation. Here, the grit of the earth and the radiance of light bloom in a quiet, enduring presence.
